Our analysis examines average import prices for beef in Uzbekistan over the period 2020–2026, revealing a substantial increase in the cost of imported beef.

In January–September 2026, the average import price reached USD 4,574 per tonne for fresh or chilled beef and USD 4,493 per tonne for frozen beef. Compared with 2020, the average import prices increased by 36.9% for fresh or chilled beef and 40.3% for frozen beef.

These trends are important for assessing how international price movements affect Uzbekistan’s domestic beef market. A comprehensive assessment requires examining import prices alongside domestic production costs and the composition of supplying countries.
