A roundtable discussion was held at the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center to mark October 21 — the Day the Uzbek Language Was Granted State Language Status.

During the event, the Center’s Director, O. Jumaev, delivered a speech emphasizing that enhancing the prestige and status of the Uzbek language and expanding its use in public administration, science, and official documentation remain important priorities of state policy.

It was also noted that treating the state language with respect, observing literary language standards in official documents and professional activities, making effective use of the rich potential of our native language, and passing it on to future generations in a worthy manner are responsibilities shared by all of us.

The status of the state language is reflected in the attention it receives, its consistent use in everyday activities, and its practical significance in society. Therefore, preserving our native language and contributing to its development require a strong sense of responsibility from each of us.
