The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee studied the competitive environment in the battery charger market, as well as the level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods.

According to the analysis:

Import situation: In 2024, 608 companies imported battery chargers from 41 countries with a total value of USD 11.6 million (3.1 million tons).

Main share of imports: The top 5 importing companies accounted for 50% of total imports.
China — 98%
Other countries — 2%

Export situation: In 2024, 10 companies exported battery chargers to 10 countries with a total value of USD 44 thousand (1.1 thousand tons). The main share of exports accounted for the Czech Republic.

Domestic production: In 2024, 6 companies produced battery chargers worth a total of 1.5 billion UZS (3.5 thousand tons).

Market saturation level: The level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods amounted to 0.1%. It should be noted that a market is considered saturated when this indicator exceeds 80%.

Conclusion: The share of domestic production in the battery charger market remains extremely low, indicating that the market is not fully saturated. At the same time, strong domestic demand demonstrates opportunities for expanding production capacities and implementing new investment projects in this sector.
