Market for sealing rubbers for frames analyzed
The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee conducted a study of the market for sealing rubbers for frames (windows and doors) in order to assess the competitive environment and the level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods.
According to the analysis results:
Imports: In 2024, 1,158 enterprises imported sealing rubbers for frames from 58 countries worth a total of USD 16.4 million (1,580 tons).
Main import share: The 5 largest importing companies account for 27% of total imports.
China — 52%
Russia — 14%
Turkey — 12%
Other countries — 22%
Exports: In 2024, 20 enterprises exported sealing rubbers for frames to 20 countries worth USD 1.3 million (200 tons). The main share of exports went to Kazakhstan (79%).
Domestic production: In 2024, 5 enterprises produced sealing rubbers for frames worth 8.7 billion soums (594 tons).
Saturation level: According to calculations, the level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods amounted to 30.1%. It is noted that under current regulations, the market is considered saturated when this indicator exceeds 80%.
Conclusion: The market for sealing rubbers for frames is characterized by limited domestic production and an underdeveloped competitive environment. At the same time, demand for this product remains high, indicating broad opportunities for expanding production capacities and implementing new investment projects.
