The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center conducted a comprehensive analysis of the construction materials industry in the Fergana region
According to the analysis, the level of market saturation with locally produced goods for 20 types of construction materials was found to be below the established benchmark.
The analysis shows that the level of local product saturation in these product markets remains low, creating opportunities for the implementation of new production projects.
Of these, 12 types of construction materials fall into the category of products that are more complex than the global average, according to Harvard University’s Product Complexity Index (PCI).
The annual import volume of these 20 types of construction materials into the Republic of Uzbekistan exceeds $840 million, while the import volume attributable to the Fergana region exceeds $20 million.
