In Uzbekistan, it is planned to launch payment services PayPal, Apple Pay , Google Pay and others. The Central Bank of the Republic was instructed to hold negotiations with these companies by the end of this year and establish their integration with the payment systems of Uzbekistan. This is provided for by the Cabinet of Ministers Desicion of September 18 on the effective use of the country's tourism potential. According to the Desicion, in order to create favorable conditions for tourists and form effective business processes by the end of 2024, the Central Bank, together with the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Tourism Committee, must hold negotiations with international payment companies PayPal, Alipay , UniPay , Apple Pay and Google Pay and establish their integration with payment systems and banking services in Uzbekistan.
